मनः प्रसादः सौम्यत्वं मौनमात्मविनिग्रहः । भावसंशुद्धिरित्येतत्तपो मानसमुच्यते ॥ १७-१६॥

Transliteration

manaḥ prasādaḥ saumyatvaṃ maunamātmavinigrahaḥ bhāvasaṃśuddhirityetat tapomānasamucyate 17-16

English Translation

Serenity of mind, good-heartedness, silence, self-control, purity of nature — these together are called the mental austerity.
