The righteous, who eat the remnants of the sacrifices are freed from all sins; but those sinful ones who cook food (only) for their own sake verily eat but sin.

yajñaśiṣṭā = of food taken after performance of yajna; āsinaḥ = eaters; santaḥ = the devotees; mucyante = get relief; sarva = all kinds of; kilbiṣaiḥ = from sins; bhuñjate = enjoy; te = they; tu = but; aghaṃ = grievous sins; pāpāḥ = sinners; ye = who; pacanti = prepare food; ātmakāraṇāt = for sense enjoyment.;
