Original Sanskrit

प्रकृतेर्गुणसम्मूढाः सज्जन्ते गुणकर्मसु । तानकृत्स्नविदो मन्दान्कृत्स्नविन्न विचालयेत् ॥ ३-२९॥

Transliteration

prakṛterguṇasammūḍhāḥ sajjante guṇakarmasu tānakṛtsnavido mandānkṛtsnavinna vicālayet 3-29

English Translation

Those deluded by the qualities of nature, (GUNAS) , are attached to the functions of the qualities. The Man-of-Perfect-Knowledge should not unsettle the foolish, who are of imperfect knowledge.

prakṛteḥ = of material nature; guṇa = by the modes; sammūḍhāḥ = befooled by material identification; sajjante = they become engaged; guṇakarmasu = in material activities; tān = those; akṛtsnavidāḥ = persons with a poor fund of knowledge; mandān = lazy to understand self-realization; kṛtsnavit = one who is in factual knowledge; na = not; vicālayet = should try to agitate.;
