Wherever any being is born, the unmoving or the moving, know you, O best of the Bharatas, that it is from the union between the Field and the Knower-of-the-Field.

yāvat = whatever; sañjāyate = comes into being; kiñcit = anything; sattvaṃ = existence; sthāvara = not moving; jaṅgamaṃ = moving; kṣetra = of the body; kṣetrajña = and the knower of the body; saṃyogāt = by the union between; tadviddhi = you must know it; bharatarṣabha = O chief of the Bharatas.;
