Agriculture, cattle-rearing and trade are the duties of the VAISHYAS, born of (their own) nature; and service is the duty of the SHUDRAS, born of (their own) nature.

kṛṣi = plowing; go = of cows; rakṣya = protection; vāṇijyaṃ = trade; vaiśya = of a vaisya; karma = duty; svabhāvajaṃ = born of his own nature; paricarya = service; ātmakaṃ = consisting of; karma = duty; śūdrasya = of the shudra; api = also; svabhāvajaṃ = born of his own nature.;
