तमस्त्वज्ञानजं विद्धि मोहनं सर्वदेहिनाम् । प्रमादालस्यनिद्राभि स्तन्निबध्नाति भारत ॥ १४-८॥

Transliteration

tamastvajñānajaṃ viddhi mohanaṃ sarvadehinām pramādālasyanidrābhi stannibadhnāti bhārata 14-8

English Translation

But, know thou TAMAS is born of ignorance, deluding all embodied beings, it binds fast, O Bharata, by heedless-ness, indolence and sleep.
